is holding a conference in Westlake: Civilian Applications of UAVs – A California Perspective, a Policy Symposium

The conference will be at the Westlake Village Hyatte Plazza. Let’s occupy the plazza and participate.

SOLIDARITY ACTION WITH OCCUPY L.A.! INTERNATIONAL CHALK-UPY CHALK ART PROTEST!

Join us Thursday August 9th to stand with Occupy LA!
On Thursday, July 12th members of Occupy LA and bystanders were shot with rubber bullets and arrested by police for the crime of creating public protest art with chalk. Occupy LA has made a callout for solidarity actions on Thursday, August 9th, and Occupy SB is answering the call – with your help!

At 1:30 PM people will gather where Paseo Nuevo meets State St. near De La Guerra and State, to distribute flyers and create chalk protest art. Bring chalk if you can, but it will also be provided.

Occupy Santa Barbara is acting in solidarity with the protesters currently at the Bank of America shareholders meeting in North Carolina. There is currently a flash protest at the home loans office of Bank of America in Santa Barbara.

Location: Corner of Chapala and De La Guerra St. (Bank of America)
Time: NOW approx 5:30PM (05/09/2012)

The general assembly scheduled for 6PM at De La Guerra plaza will be moved back to after the protest. Join us there (BofA) to find the final GA location and time.

There will be live interview on KEY news Channel 3 at 6PM from our protest area.
