The Monsanto Protection Act” was a provision of the HR 933 spending bill.

Section 745 of HR 933 was the section that included the Monsanto Protection act. It was evidently dropped in by an anonymous Senator. It states that Federal Court cannot stop or intervene when GMO crops are planted or sold by biotech companies.

From RT, “One year could be all it takes to cause catastrophic damage to the environment by allowing laboratory-produced organisms to be planted into the earth without oversight. Under the Monsanto Protection Act, health concerns that arise in the immediate future involving the planting of GMO crops won’t be able to be heard by a judge.” http://rt.com/usa/monsanto-bill-blunt-agriculture-006/

*Good Guy: Senator John Tester (D-MT) had proposed an amendment to strip the Monsanto Protection Act from the bill, but it was never put to vote.

-Many said when asked why they voted the way they did, that they had to in order to keep the government running.

Why are non-related sections/provisions allowed to be added to budgetary bills? This sounds illegal!
