Please Join us Tuesday Morning, March 6, 8:30am, Hall of Administration, 4th Floor, 800 S. Victoria, in Ventura to ask the County Board of Supervisors to halt all foreclosure proceedings in Ventura County until detailed assessment and reform of the recording and foreclosure process.
This action is being supported by Occupy Oxnard, and Occupy Ventura
March 6, 2012 at 8:30 AM we will be making a presentation at the Ventura County Board of Supervisors meeting to bring attention to the illegal foreclosure activities at the county recorders office. Please join us to show your support for why the foreclosure industry is not only injuring homeowners by making illegal foreclosures, but also the entire foreclosure issue is debasing our economy. The undermining of our homes is a prime cause of unemployment, harming our families, and is destroying our property tax base. Even government cannot go on indefinitely without revenues. Falling home prices and fire sale foreclosure deals are causing property values to plummet dramatically lowering the taxes the county can collect under Prop. 13 rules.
The criminals must be brought to justice and these practices must be stopped. If we cannot or will not stop the foreclosure crisis the shock to our economy could find us all on the street. There is a limit to the losses we can absorb, while the one percent land barons buy up the properties and turn us into surfs.
This is their plan. Shock and awe, sound familiar?
